Neuropsychological assessment includes the evaluation of cognitive (intellectual) functioning, academic functioning, neurodevelopment concerns (ADHD, ASD), and mental health symptoms. Neuropsychological assessments are tailored to meet the needs to the individual and are the most comprehensive of the assessments that are completed at Superior Psychological Services.
Neuropsychological assessment is most useful when there are multiple questions to be addressed such as academic difficulties and mental health concerns. Neuropsychological assessments are best for ages 4 years and up, although this can be dependent on client need. These assessments often take multiple days to complete in office and require a minimum of 8-10 hours spent testing in office.
Neuropsychological assessment can assess for a wide range of disorders including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, specific learning concerns, bipolar disorder, trauma related disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, reactive attachment disorder, and many others.
